Process agents act as nominated representatives of a Principal under a binding agreement to accept service of legal Documentation, notices, and other correspondence in connection with commercial agreements especially outside the legal Jurisdiction of the Principal, such as contracts raising of finance, placing of stock, bonds, or indeed any other type of legal agreement under which it would be prudent to have an independent party as the recipient of service. Indeed many cross border finance agreements require the appointment of independent process agents.
